The MTS160 is an advanced magnetic guide sensor designed for high-precision navigation of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and mobile robots. Utilizing a dual magnetic row design, it accurately measures the angular incidence of the magnetic track, providing exceptional tracking accuracy even at high speeds and through complex routes.
The MTS160 operates seamlessly with various magnetic tape widths and shapes—whether flat or square—without requiring prior configuration. It features a 160mm sensing width, delivering 1mm lateral and 1-degree angular resolution, and functions efficiently at heights ranging from 10mm to 50mm.
Supporting both North and South magnetic polarities, the MTS160 can detect magnetic markers with inverted polarity placed alongside the main track to initiate additional commands. Its capability to manage two-way forks and merges makes it ideal for navigating complex paths. With multiple interface options, including CAN bus and RS232, it ensures easy integration with various control systems. Encased in an IP54-rated enclosure and equipped with a convenient USB configuration utility, the MTS160 is well-suited for demanding industrial environments.
